AMPHIBIAN TECH INFO: Electronically and aesthetically , the AMPhibian is completely unique. Its lateral speaker/chassis configuration is new to instrument amplification layout.
Cabinet is all wood, laminated birch. The enclosure is designed to compliment the harmonica frequency range--the front louvers are ported to the inside of the cabinet, directing sound, and ventilating the tubes and transformers.
The cabinet is meticulously hand-made, with a construction technique previously unknown to amplifier design.
Chassis and Electronics- 16ga steel chassis, point-to-point wiring, American made custom wound transformers that are designed specifically for the AMPhibian. All components are top grade, selected for their sound and role in the signal path. All vacuum tube circuit- (2) 12AX7's (2)6V6's and 5AR4.
20 watt push/pull output stage. 10" speaker.
This amp is not another Fender clone.

THE AMPhibian is not a guitar amp ! You don't have to turn a treble control all the way down just to keep from feeding back. It is voiced specifically for harp microphones. In fact, it sounds rather shitty with guitar.
The AMPhibian has a unique tone control tames microphone feedback, and at higher volumes, provides compression---for that honkin' gritty old-school blues feel.
